Brighton's New Networking Event

Updated: Feb 22, 2020

Are you fed up with arranging childcare or skipping an after-work drink with friends to attend networking events that you leave no better off from?

Xavier Clarke from XC Photography and I do, and after a fair amount of moaning, we decided to do something about it.

So we are creating Brighton's 'New Networking Events' for Small Businesses, Start-ups & the Self Employed.

This venture has three key aims:

DIVERSITY

We are pitching New Networking Events is to attract a wide range of people from a wide range of industries so that the skills and strengths of individuals at our events are diverse. Not a room-full of digital marketeers or a room full of furniture designers - that's what specialist conferences are for.

Diversity usually means you learn more from the people around you and may be able to form relationships which can really help you grown your business.

EDUCATION

At each event we run there will be a series of short talks (usually 4 x 10-minute talks) with good solid practical advice and a host of ideas. We'll aim to cover a range of topics in these talks so keep checking back to this event page to see what we have scheduled.

COMMUNITY

Mostly, we'd like to create a strong sense of community and support for one another. Running a small business is tough and particularly in these uncertain times, we're going to need to work together to be able to succeed in our individual ventures. At all events, there will be a place for you to leave and collect flyers and business cards and we'll be trading social links after each event too so we can all follow and support one another. Hopefully, many of us will end up working together also!
